Ohio State's Aaron Craft, Chiney Ogwumike of Stanford Top Capital One Academic All-America® Division I Basketball Teams

TOWSON, Md. – Senior point guard Aaron Craft of  Ohio State University and senior forward Chiney Ogwumike of Stanford University lead the 2013-14 Capital One Academic All-America® Division I Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

A nutrition (pre-med) major with a 3.93 G.P.A., Craft has led the Buckeyes to a #22 national ranking and a 20-6 record.  The 2013-14 Capital One Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year earned the same honor last year.

Lauren Battista of Bentley, Bryce Foster of Missouri S&T Lead Capital One Academic All-America® Division II Basketball Teams

TOWSON, Md. – Seniors Lauren Battista of top-ranked Bentley University and Bryce Foster of Missouri University of Science and Technology headline the 2013-14 Capital One Academic All-America® Division II basketball teams as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

TOWSON, Md. –Senior forward Richie Bonney of Hobart and senior Stephanie Kuzmanic of Carthage headline the 2013-14 Capital One Academic All-America ® Division III men’s and women’s basketball teams, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Brad Karp of Saint Xavier and Samantha Kleinsasser of Northwestern (Iowa) Top Capital One Academic All-America® College Division Basketball Teams

TOWSON, Md. – Senior guard Brad Karp of Saint Xavier University and senior forward Samantha Kleinsasser of Northwestern (Iowa) College headline the 2013-14 Capital One Academic All-America® College Division Men’s and  Women’s Basketball Teams, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The Capital One College Division Academic All-America® basketball teams are comprised of student-athletes from NAIA, Canadian and two-year institutions.

Capital One Academic All-District ® Men’s Basketball Teams Released

The 2013-14 Capital One Academic All-District ® Men’s Basketball Teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, have been released to recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.   Capital One has been the entitlement rights holder to CoSIDA’s Academic All-America teams programs since 2011.

Katie Slay of Penn State Tops Capital One Academic All-America® Division I Volleyball Team

TOWSON, Md. – Senior middle blocker Katie Slay of Penn State University leads the 2013 Capital One Academic All-America® Division I volleyball team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

A communications sciences and disorders major with a 3.64 G.P.A., Slay has been named as the 2013 Capital One Academic All-America® of the Year.

Hannah Heeter of Clarion Leads Capital One Academic All-America® Division II Volleyball Team

TOWSON, Md. – Clarion University senior hitter Hannah Heeter leads the Capital One Academic All-America® Division II volleyball team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

A biology/pre-medicine double major with a 3.95 G.P.A., Heeter is the winner of the Academic All-America® of the Year award for Division II volleyball.

Tessa Smolinski of Springfield College Leads Capital One Academic All-America® Division III Volleyball Team

 

TOWSON, Md. – Senior outside hitter Tessa Smolinski of Springfield College leads the 2013 Capital One Academic All-America® Division III Volleyball Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Smolinski has been chosen as the Capital One Academic All-America® of the Year award winner for Division III volleyball.

Taryn Nash of Spring Hill Leads Capital One Academic All-America® College Division Volleyball Team

TOWSON, Md. – Senior setter Taryn Nash of Spring Hill (Ala.) College leads the 2013 Capital One Academic All-America® College Division Volleyball Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

An international studies major with a 3.98 G.P.A., Nash has led the Badgers this season to a 37-5 overall record and to the NAIA National Championship Tournament. Spring Hill won the Southern States Athletic Conference regular-season title with a 14-0 league mark before also capturing the tournament championship.

Harrison Shipp of Notre Dame, Frances Silva of West Virginia Top Capital One Academic All-America® Division I Soccer Teams

TOWSON, Md. – Senior forward Harrison Shipp of the University of Notre Dame and graduate student Frances Silva of West Virginia University lead the 2013 Capital One Academic All-America® Division I men’s and women’s soccer teams, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Shipp and Silva have been chosen as the winners of the Capital One Academic All-America® of the Year award for the Division I men’s and women’s soccer teams, respectively.
